Výroba elektrickej energie je najväčším prispievateľom ku globálnemu otepľovaniu a v roku 2021 na ňu pripadala viac ako tretina emisií uhlíka súvisiacich s energetikou.
Mining company Hornonitrianske Bane Prievidza dispatched nearly 2 million tons of coal to its customers last year, of which nearly 1.9 million tons headed to the coal-powered power plant in Novaky.

While last year the Regulatory Office for Network Industries (URSO) worked with the price of 35.3072 euros per megawatt hour when setting this year’s electricity prices for households, this year it will be almost almost 2 euros less.
