BRATISLAVA, February 13, (WEBNOVINY) – If voters could support one more political party besides their favorite one, almost one fifth of SMER-SD sympathizers (19.7 percent) would back SNS and almost one tenth (9.4 percent) would cast their ballots for KDH. Over one fourth (25.4 percent) would not vote for any other party, shows a survey conducted by the Prieskumy pollster from January 24 to January 31 among 1,024 respondents.
A total of 39.4 percent were determined to participate in the elections while 31.1 percent were more inclined to cast their ballots. The remaining 29.5 percent represents answers of those who were inclined not to vote, those definitely decided to ignore the ballot as well as respondents unable to answer the question. Respondents determined to cast their ballot were asked an additional question: “If it was possible to vote also for a second party in the March 10 elections, which one would you choose?” The pollster released answers of respondents supporting six parties that would make it to the parliament based on its earlier poll.
SDKU-DS remains the closest for KDH sympathizers. In spite of rivalry, the majority of MOST-HID supporters would give the second vote to the non-parliamentary SMK. One quarter of SaS voters would simultaneously support the Ordinary People and Independent Personalities. SDKU-DS sympathizers would support KDH, too.
