„Ráno 1. októbra 2023 vyšlo slnko. Napriek tomu musíme skonštatovať, že Slovensko je plné paradoxov. Sme krajina, ktorá má najhoršie verejné financie v EÚ a považuje sa za druhú najchudobnejšiu v EÚ,“ povedal Fico.
Súčasná úradnícka vláda ponúka podľa jeho slov rozpočet, ktorý by ešte viac prehĺbil chudobu. „Nič z toho, čo predložila vláda Ľudovíta Ódora, nie je pre nás inšpiratívne, pretože tam chýba prvok solidarity, ktorý musí byť základom vládnutia,“ povedal Fico.
Zdôraznil, že nechcú meniť a rušiť nič z dosiahnutého sociálneho štandardu a zároveň je presvedčený, že budú mať zdroje na dosiahnutie hospodárskeho rastu. Jednou z priorít novej vlády bude ochrana štátnych hraníc pred nelegálnymi migrantmi. Šéf Smeru spomenul tiež „návrat k tomu, čo je normálne a prirodzené“ a odmietol transgender ideológiu.
