BRATISLAVA, April 4, (WEBNOVINY) — Following results of last week’s surveys of political popularity that confirmed absolute dominance of the opposition SMER-SD, the liberal party SaS of Richard Sulik started working on its own poll. The party’s survey focuses on its sympathizers, asking them in an on-line questionnaire how they perceive missteps of the government, controversial articles and statements of SaS leader Richard Sulik or about their reactions to the Speaker of Parliament Sulik wearing a Superman costume at a ball or informal suit at a meeting with ambassadors. “This time, I want to ask you for your opinion on the SaS party. It will help us be better,” writes Sulik in a newsletter, which he has sent to the party’s supporters by e-mail with reference to the webpage www.surveymonkey.com, where they can fill out the questionnaire.
“We want to know what people think about the SaS and its service in government. This survey is one of the ways to fix communication of topics which are important for us and our voters,’ said Sulik’s personal assistant Tatiana Tothova.
The SaS has launched the questionnaire on April 3 and it will be available until April 11. The party plans to utilize the results for internal purposes. “It is important for us to know to what degree people deem potential missteps as serious and how it influences the party’s electoral potential,” said Tothova.
This is why the SaS incorporated in the questionnaire questions inquiring about the opinion on the golden parachute payment for a SaS nominee in the Kosice heating plant at EUR 90,000, the so-called Hayeks case, the expulsion of MP Igor Matovic from the SaS parliamentary club or the failed September referendum. The SaS also wants to know its voters‘ opinion on Sulik’s statement that the „European Union is pure socialism“ and the situation when he reproached opposition leader Robert Fico for „accepting an expensive timepiece from his girlfriend.“
