Environment Ministry is to Get Almost EUR 390M Next Year

BRATISLAVA, August 21, (WEBNOVINY) – The 2012 budget of the Ministry of Environment will likely reach nearly EUR 390 million. In accordance with the draft budget for 2012, submitted by the Finance Ministry for interdepartmental review, the expenses of the green ministry are projected at EUR 388 million on budgeted sources of EUR 51.84 million. EU expenditures and co-funding from the state budget are set at EUR 332 million.

The overall cap on expenses also includes sources beyond the budget at some EUR 4 million, for instance, finances from the EEA Financial Mechanism, Norwegian Financial Mechanism, Swiss Financial Mechanism and the LIFE+ program. The ministry will direct money at water management, air protection, waste management, protection of nature and country and at administration. Expenses in all areas will come down versus this year’s budget.
