The state-owned company SEPS posted the total revenues of nearly 420 million euros in 2017. The net profit was 74.3 million euros.
The Slovak operator of the power grid, Slovenska Elektrizacna Prenosova Sustava (SEPS) is extremely satisfied with its last year’s performance, classed as one of the most successful in company’s history. „We must point out that the situation on the European power market helped our company to achieve the highest revenues for cross-border transmissions ever. We expect, however, the situation not to repeat in the near future as already indicated by first quarter results,“ Norbert Deak, the head of the SEPS communication department informed the portal vEnergetike.sk. Last year, the state-owned company posted the total revenues of almost 420 million euros, an increase by 52 million euros year-on-year. The company’s net profit was 74.3 million euros, up by almost 17 million euros compared to 2016. „This increase can be ascribed to unexpected higher revenues from the cross-border operation. These fees are not paid by customers – companies or housholds – in Slovakia,“ Deak said.
