The Nuclear Regulatory Office of the Slovak Republic (UJD) points out that in case of such a large and complex project, some problems cannot be predicted and they may have an impact on the overall timetable for the construction and launch of nuclear units.
The third unit of the nuclear power plant could be generating first electricity at the end of this year and the fourth unit a year later. Slovenske Elektrarne (SE), which is behind the project, has been affirming meeting deadlines for a long time. The Nuclear Regulatory Authority (UJD), however, points out that in case of such a large and complex project, some problems cannot be predicted, but may have an impact on the timetable for the construction and launch of nuclear units.
