BRATISLAVA, February 14, (WEBNOVINY) – Coalition partners MOST-HID and SaS have condemned the effort of Igor Matovic to give an impression of a crisis in the coalition. “It is not true that MOST-HID leader has questioned credibility of SaS or its chief Richard Sulik, as it is not true that the departure of Igor Matovic from the SaS deputy faction has disturbed the relations among coalition partners,” Richard Sulik and Bela Bugar write in a common statement. The two politicians thinks that the most important is that they are able communicate together and resist pressures and some misleading information in such complicated situations.
Igor Matovic was expelled from the SaS deputy caucus on Thursday because he voted for a law forged by opposition SMER-SD. After being excluded from the caucus, Matovic blamed Bela Bugar for pressing on Sulik and accused the coalition partners of betrayal. However, NOVY CAS tabloid wrote on Monday that both Bugar and Matovic have been misused and that Sulik lied to Matovic when he said that the Coalition Council blessed Matovic’s decision to vote for SMER-SD’s citizenship draft. Bugar stressed that no such approval was given.
