Slovakia and South Korea will boost mutual cooperation in energy, trade, and support for investments. Economy Minister Denisa Sakova on Monday signed two memoranda in Seoul.
“South Korean companies are important investors in Slovakia, and we share with this country the same view on energy development. I am pleased that we have moved these areas to a higher level today and that we have not only signed the memoranda, but also discussed further cooperation at the highest level meeting,” Sakova stressed.
The first memorandum concerns complex cooperation in the energy sector, covering energy efficiency and security as well as nuclear energy. Both parties pledged to support technological development in this area.
Mutual cooperation will focus on exchange of information, technologies, and best practices in nuclear energy. The second memorandum covers trade and investment support. It is aimed at reducing trade obstacles, streamlining customs processes, and supporting business between the two countries.
