The Czech energy group CEZ is not in talks with any investor on the sale of its 49-percent stake in JESS.
The Czech power group CEZ remains in the project of the construction of the new nuclear power plant in Jaslovske Bohunice for now. CEZ is not in talks on its departure from the company Jadrova Energeticka Spolocnost Slovenska (JESS) which is in charge of the project. „Currently, there are no talks on the sale of our stake,“ a spokesman for CEZ Roman Gazdik informed the portal vEnergetike.sk. CEZ thus remains a 49-percent shareholder in JESS. Gazdik confirmed that the Russians had expressed interest in their shares in the past, namely the company Rosatom. He says that the entry of the Russian investor in the nuclear project is unrealistic now. „The talks with Rosatom ended a few years ago,“ Gazdik said. He says that they are working on the construction of the nuclear power plant in Jaslovske Bohunice.
