BRATISLAVA, January 28, (WEBNOVINY) – We like our Hungarians, do not steal them from us, is the message of two SaS MPs from the Ordinary People faction, Igor Matovic and Jozef Viskupic for the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban who is visiting Slovakia on Friday. They were waiting for him in front of the Parliament with three red heart-shaped banners with the abovementioned text in Slovak, Hungarian and English. Matovic says that the Hungarian dual citizenship law, which makes it possible for people who do not have permanent residence in the country to acquire Hungarian citizenship, allows Hungary to steal Slovak citizens.

Matovic emphasized that they have nothing against any citizen of Slovakia of any nationality and would like to do their utmost that they feel here at home and do not need to consider accepting foreign citizenship. “At the same time we think that no state has the right to steal the citizens of another state by giving away citizenship, as the gentleman, who just entered the building, does,” said Matovic.

Matovic feels sorry that upon his arrival, Orban paid no attention to him. He however hopes that the Hungarian Prime Minister will get information on what was written on the banners. “And when he thinks about it, he will admit that we are right and that he could do something about that law. And that he doesn’t have to steal our citizens, we really like all of them,” told Matovic the reporters. He emphasized that he has nothing against Hungarians; his only goal is that Slovak politicians do politics in Slovakia and the Hungarian ones in Hungary. “Hungarian politicians should not decide on how people in Slovakia will behave, this simply is not fair. We have our borders, he should do his politics over there and we will do ours here,” enclosed Matovic.
