The work on creation of the state energy holding company does not continue. The current leadership of the Economy Ministry has prepared only a merger of the six largest state-run heating companies under the MH Teplarensky Holding. However, grouping other state shares in energy companies under one roof is no longer on the agenda, the state secretary of the ministry, Karol Galek, says. „We have an overview of all energy companies and we are working to streamline their activities. I am concerned that the creation of an energy holding company, in which we would merge companies operating on the free market with the regulated ones would only result in masking the real situation, as we had seen in the past in the gas utility SPP,“ Galek said in an interview for the vEnergetike.sk portal.
