The contract between Slovenske Elektrarne and the Russian company TVEL is valid for the period of 2022 – 2026 and can be extended until 2030.
Slovak nuclear power plants will continue using Russian nuclear fuel to generate electricity. The power company Slovenske Elektrarne and the Russian company TVEL have signed an agreement on nuclear fuel deliveries for nuclear units in Mochovce and Jaslovske Bohunice. The Slovak dominant electricity producer informed the news agency SITA that the contract with the Russian company TVEL is the result of the international tender and is valid for the years 2022 – 2026. The contract can be extended until 2030.
