BRATISLAVA, May 2, (WEBNOVINY) — Slovak President Ivan Gasparovic considers the death of the leader and founder of the terrorist group al Qaeda Osama bin Laden to justice done. However, al-Qaeda still exists and his successor may be even more aggressive. “The real victory will be liquidation of the whole network of the terrorist group al-Qaeda worldwide, which needs to be the goal of all of us,” said the Slovak President in a statement that he provided to SITA news agency on Monday.
US President Barack Obama confirmed the death of Osama bin Laden late in the evening on Sunday. The world’s most-sought terrorist was killed by US special forces during the two-hour ground operation outside Islamabad. “Justice has been done,” the US President declared. Four more people were killed in the attack besides bin Laden including bin Laden’s son.
Osama bin Laden, the elusive mastermind, was behind the devastating terrorist attacks across the world and was considered the head of the global terror network fighting against the US and their allies. Bin Laden admitted to being behind the attacks on New York and Washington D.C. that claimed more 3,000 lives on September 11, 2001.

Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden was killed in a firefight with U.S. forces in Pakistan on Sunday, ending a nearly decade long worldwide manhunt for the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks. Dzurinda commented that it is possible to state that bin Laden as the al-Qaeda leader was responsible for the biggest and deadliest terrorist attacks including 9/11.
The foreign minister did not want to say whether protection of some buildings will be increased in connection with the information on bin Laden’s death. “I cannot answer this question at this moment,” he said.
