Next Cabinet Session will be Held March 2

BRATISLAVA, February 20, (WEBNOVINY) – The next regular Cabinet session will be held on March 2, after the spring break in Bratislava, Trnava and Nitra counties. Prime minister’s spokesman Rado Bato reported to SITA news agency that at the next session, a material submitted by Prime Minister Iveta Radicova on the statute of a new inter-ministerial consulting and coordination body, the Ministerial Council will be debated. The Ministerial Council is to address draft measures and tasks concerning the government’s political priorities. It is to suggest solutions to the priorities and put members of the council in charge of carrying them out. The council is to coordinate operations of the ministries in handling the

government’s priorities, too.

The second material of the prime minister concerns the statute of a government plenipotentiary for the development of civic society. The new government aide is to serve as a communication hub and also catalyst to actively interconnect and initiate communication between the government, public administration, NGOs and other entities.

After the spring break, ministers will also debate the material on remuneration of managers in state-run firms and their appointment to the firms, submitted by Economy Minister Juraj Miskov.
