NATO Defense Chiefs will Meet in the High Tatras

BRATISLAVA, September 13, (WEBNOVINY) — Transformation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the future of operations under its command will be the main topics for the highest military authority of the Alliance, NATO Military Committee. The possibilities to increase NATO’s operation with limited funding will also be discussed. The meeting will be held on September 17 and 19 in the High Tatras, where chiefs of defense of all 28 NATO members, headed by Chairman of NATO Military Committee Admiral Giampaolo di Paola will meet. Slovakia’s Prime Minister Iveta Radicova will welcome the guests at the introductory meeting.

Spokesman for Slovakia’s Armed Forces Milan Vanga informed that the conference of NATO Military Committee will require strict security measures. NATO Military Committee comprises military chiefs of defense of all 28 NATO member states. They meet at least three times a year.
