BRATISLAVA, July 29, (WEBNOVINY)- Leftist extremists have recently posted a video on the internet, in which they threaten with death to Prime Minister Iveta Radicova. The far-left group claims to support all displays of class violance in the 1950s, reported Slovak Radio on Friday. Moreover, they label politicians of the conservative OKS party who have been elected to parliament on the MOST-HID slate representatives of the criminal bourgeoisie propaganda and threaten that they will meet a similar fate to the victims of the Communists that harshly persecuted innocent people calling them enemies of the regime.
The rise of a webpage that finds class violence inevitable for maintaining the dictatorship of the proletariat is probably a reaction to the recent approval by parliament on July 13 of a clause in the amendment to the Criminal Code introducing prison terms for denying the crimes of Communism (the so-called Jachymov lie).
OKS MP Ondrej Dostal who is the author of the approved amending proposal is not afraid of a possible attack on him. He thinks that threats are just verbal and thus he does not plan to ask for police protection. Ex-minister of interior Robert Kalinak (SMER) whose face also appeared on the video featuring a song in Russian said that such phenomenons have to be always monitored in order that freedom of speech does not limit freedom of other people. The police say that they have been monirtoring the extremists and if the need arises they are prepared to act instantly.
