Not much has happened in the energy sector over a longer time. Last week seemed to pass at a slow energy pace. But on Thursday, Slovak Prime Minister had a secret meeting with Gazprom’s Chief Executive. The public was not to be informed about this meeting if the Russian concern did not boast about it on its website. Slovakia did not provide even little information like Russians. This provided an opportunity for beautiful but unnecessary speculations. There is yet one speculation. What was the bad news that Gazprom came to deliver when Prime Minister did not want to hold the press conference and boast about it? Has not the Russian brother come to threaten Slovak Prime Minister to use Nord Stream 2 project as revenge against Slovakia if it continues providing cheaper gas to Ukraine?
