The regulatory authority suspects that the distribution companies include fictitious assets into the costs.
The Office for Regulatory Network Industries (URSO) will carry out greater control at distribution companies. On Friday, the chairman of the regulatory authority, Jozef Holjencik, asked Prime Minister Robert Fico to raise the Office’s budget to increase control of companies which distribute electricity and gas in Slovakia. „I promised the chairman of the Office to raise his budget by a certain sum which will enable him to carry out an objective evaluation of the assets of the distribution companies,“ Fico said after the meeting.
