The National Criminal Agency (NAKA) is raiding several places of the nuclear power plant Mochovce as well as in Bratislava. The raid code-named “Fire” is carried out by the special team Electro. The police informed on the social network that it had seized the items important for the criminal proceedings in connection with the serious crime of fraud and violation of the duties when administering someone else’s property. The NAKA investigator is leading the criminal prosecution in connection with the completion of the third and fourth nuclear unit. This raid concerns the supply of fire alarm systems, components, devices and work necessary for the operation of the power plant. According to the recent findings, the price was allegedly raised gradually with several amendments to the original contract when the maximum price agreed increased from 3.9 million euros to the current sum of almost 25 million euros. This gross disproportion represents a factual increase of more than 600 percent.
