BRATISLAVA, May 9, (WEBNOVINY) – Barbara Pisecka, spokeswoman of the television news channel TA3 confirmed for SITA news agency that several reporters decided to leave the station. The reason is a new system of work of the TV’s desks, which Martin Halanda, new Deputy Director General in charge of the channel’s program introduced on Monday. “The issue of staff was part of the planned changes. After introducing this system, several reporters and editors terminated their cooperation with TA3,” announced Halanda in a statement he published. According to Pisecka, they do not plan providing any further information.
On Monday morning, SME daily brought the information that several members of the staff decided to leave TA3 after Halanda proposed changes to the services roster together with personal changes.
According to an internal source from the TV broadcaster, four international desk editors and four economic editors are leaving. The news channel already experienced some crucial changes in the management this year when editor-in-chief Richard Direr together with his deputy Nora Gubkova left at the end of March, followed by some of the TV’s employees.
Martin Halanda already worked for TA3 in 2007 to 2008, then he was the spokesman of the freight railway company ZS Cargo Slovakia.
