BRATISLAVA, July 15, (WEBNOVINY) — Opposition SNS Chairman Jan Slota appeals in particular to Foreign Affairs Minister Mikulas Dzurinda to finally stand up from his armchair a year after elections and show he is a man and not just a rag with which Hungarians wipe the dirty floor of their Parliament in Budapest. „It’s humiliating how our diplomacy responds to the spits in the face of the Slovak government and the entire Slovak nation,“ Slota told SITA news agency on Friday in connection with the Hungarian rejection of Slovakia’s proposal for an agreement resolving the question of dual citizenship. „The SNS is not surprised by the response from Budapest. We have anticipated their clearly negative opinion,“ he said.
According to Slota, the Slovak nation will never accept the insulting gestures from the Hungarian Parliament and the neo-fascist government of Viktor Orban that is doing everything possible to achieve its objective, namely the abolition of the Trianon Peace Treaty, and the post-war arrangement in Central Europe. The Slovak Republic as the weakest link in the chain is the first target for Hungary. „All representatives of the Slovak Republic should make this clear for themselves and not belittle this serious challenge, and do something with the criminally neglected defense capability of Slovakia, which I consider tantamount to treason. Budapest plays like a cat with a mouse with our irresponsible politicians, and if anyone thinks that a mouse can persuade the cat not to swallow it, he it is mistaken. Because when we will sizzle in the stomach of this descendant of those Asiatic hordes, it will be too late,“ said Slota.
