BRATISLAVA, August 30, (WEBNOVINY) — Prime Minister Iveta Radicova will offer her viewpoint on the rent of a building that will provide home for tax bodies in the eastern Slovak metropolis of Kosice, after Finance Minister Ivan Miklos returns to Slovakia, prime minister’s spokesperson Rado Bato told reporters on Tuesday.
The Tax Directorate decided to clinch a deal with Nitra Invest, controlled by SDKU-DS district leader Ondrej Scurka, in spite of appeals from some NGOs. The Fair-Play Alliance recommended that the Tax Directorate refuse to sign the contract and cancel the respective competition. It argued that the set criteria were tailored-made for Scurka’s firm. This was the second contest to choose a building for the tax authorities in the city.
