BRATISLAVA, June 14, (WEBNOVINY) — The Congress of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) held last week in Mexico re-elected President of the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry Peter Mihok to the ICC Executive Board for three more years. The new mandate of Mihok’s second term of office will take effect on July 1, 2011 and expire on June 30, 2014.
The ICC Executive Board is an international 21-member body that formulates positions on fundamental matters of the global economy and the international financial system. It is in touch with the World Trade Organization and cooperates with G-20. The International Chamber of Commerce was established in 1919 in Paris and represents commercial organizations in some hundred-and-thirty countries worldwide. It supports market economy, open international trade, and the system of investments.
