BRATISLAVA, September 23, (WEBNOVINY) — On Thursday, Interior Minister Daniel Lipsic (KDH) promoted or rewarded some of the police officers who took part in the police operation against the gunman in Devinska Nova Ves on August 30. The minister said that thanks to their courage and cool heads, the number of victims in the shooting spree was not higher.
On Monday, August 30 at about 10 a.m., Lubomir Harman, a resident of Bratislava residential area of Devinska Nova Ves shot to death a five-member family in their apartment, another relative on his way to visit the family, and a wild shot killed the seventh victim in one of the nearby residential houses. The shooter died in the police operation, too, after having injured fifteen other people.
