BRATISLAVA, October 19, (WEBNOVINY) — His Majesty King Harald V of Norway and Queen Sonja will visit Slovakia for the first time; their arrival is planned on October 25. The royal couple will end their official visit on Thursday; Elena Bianchi of the Presidential Office informed media Tuesday. The official program will start on Tuesday morning when Slovakia’s President Ivan Gasparovic and his wife Silvia Gasparovic will welcome the Norwegian royal couple at the Presidential Palace in Bratislava. Both delegations will have a discussion followed by a press conference.
Harald V will meet Prime Minister Iveta Radicova at the Cabinet Office and he will meet Speaker of Parliament Richard Sulik in the historical building of Slovak Parliament on Tuesday. In the afternoon, Bratislava Mayor Andrej Durkovsky plans to show the royal couple around Slovakia’s capital. On the occasion of the royal visit, Slovak President and the First Lady will host a state dinner after which both ladies will leave to visit gallery of modern art Danubiana. Harald V and Queen Sonja will also visit other Slovak towns, Modra, Banska Bystrica and Ziar nad Hronom.
