BRATISLAVA, July 22, (WEBNOVINY) – Slovakia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikulas Dzurinda received a congratulations telegram from U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in regards to his entry into office. Ms. Clinton commended the past experience of Mr. Dzurinda and highlighted Slovakia as an important ally and transatlantic partner. „The United States value the contribution of Slovakia in Afghanistan and also would like to thank you for accepting the former prisoners from Guantanamo. We look forward to the leadership of the Slovak Republic as the presiding country of the Visegrad Group. I look forward to work with you in order to expand areas of further cooperation between the U.S. and Slovakia,“ Ms. Clinton wrote in the telegram to Mr. Dzurinda, the press department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed media on Thursday.
