BRATISLAVA, August 5, (WEBNOVINY) – The Parliamentary Committee for the Incompatibility of Offices began an investigation on the objection of the Fair-Play Alliance; according to which three members of the Slovak Radio Council broke the law when trying to get elected to parliament in June elections. Stanislav Haber and Alexander Koren ran for LS-HZDS, which failed to make it to the parliament. Moreover, Eva Jassova unsuccessfully tried to muddle through on the ballot of SNS.

The Alliance already lodged the objection during the term of former government; however, due to formal deficiencies, the deputies did not deal with it. „The proposal is qualified, there is a reason to initiate the procedure,“ the head of the Committee Renata Zmajkovicova (SMER-SD) stated on Thursday. The deputies decided that three members of the Slovak Radio Council have to explain their behavior.

The Committee will also deal with the case of former SDKU-DS deputy and Ukrainian football club official Lubos Michel who should loose a month salary because he did not submit the property statement within the statutory deadline. New Parliament will decide the punishment. Deputies Peter Missik (SDKU-DS) and Renata Zmajkovicova agreed that the next committee will take a month salary from Michel.
