The Czechoslovak energy company is currently working on obtaining all necessary approvals to enter the power utility Slovenske Elektrarne.
At the end of last year, the company EP Slovakia, a subsidiary of Energeticky a Prumyslovy Holding (EPH), has reached a definitive agreement with Italian company Enel on the sale of a 66-percent stake in Slovenske Elektrarne (SE). The Czechoslovak energy company is expected to gain control over half of the majority stake in SE in the first stage. It has not yet happened. The energy group EPH, owned by Czech businessman Daniel Kretinsky, Slovak businessman Patrik Tkac and financial group J&T, has a long way to come across several bureaucratic obstacles. „The process of obtaining all necessary approvals for EPH to enter Slovenske Elektrarne is ongoing,“ a spokesman for group, Daniel Castvaj, informed the portal vEnergetike.sk. The Czechoslovak company expects its physical entry into Slovenske Elektrarne in the second quarter of this year.
